This is just a quick update on what I'm currently working on. If you're a web developer, there's a good chance you've worked with WordPress. It's a great platform with a supportive community of theme developers, plugin developers, and fans. I used to be one of them. However, I started feeling restricted and realized I wanted to do more than just create themes.
When I began coding in "Vanilla" PHP, it was a struggle. I had no idea what I was doing with terms like "get," "post," "form," or "sessions." I was building a simple fuel consumption calculator with trip estimation based on fuel efficiency, without any database, classes, or TDD.
That was before I discovered Laravel, which I'll talk about in a future post.
Genesis 2
Genesis 2 is a program that logs fuel consumption each time car owners fill up. I want to track how much petrol each car consumes, with worse cars having higher fuel consumption.
